If VZ wins, I congratulate AT&T
Industry analysts think it's a brilliant move for att. It's about as brilliant as yahoo trying to be its own media, software/internet, entertainment hodgepodge of a mess all at the same time. Vz owns aol, which makes better sense (though travels down a similar slippery slope).
I hope VZ does win. We have enough to focus on right now. Don't need to try and digest yahoo too.
Maybe the board talked Randy from the ledge. It's a stupid move "ok let's buy so vz can't have it". Should be fired for trying to purchase, shows lack of vision and leadership.
I saw this earlier today, I really do not see why would anyone want Yahoo! as an asset - they have been trying to make that company work forever and their properties are old and tired. I cannot remember when was the last time I felt like: oh, let me check out Yahoo! News. Granted, sometimes I'll check out a ticker price for a stock or two on Yahoo! finance but typically I just enter a ticker into Google and Google gives me pretty much all info I need (without the need to visit an ad saturated Yahoo! page)...
