Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Houston, it looks like it started. Breaks my heart...

I just saw a woman crying inconsolably in the parking lot, assisted by two other gals. There were a few of us watching. Never seen her before. Very, very painful... Almost crying here as well...

How can anyone think any of this is trolling or lies. The layoffs have been unbelievable. Oh well, I can think of a few people who WOULD say this is trolling or lies.

Yeah I'm not sure what part of this is "trolling"

Fact - layoffs are happening in Houston. Fact - people cry when they are upset. Fact - I shed a few tears (not in the parking lot, thank god) when I was laid off by HP. This story is probably 100% real.

It's probably Meg, L3 guy and her disgusting goon squad on here calling it trolling.

False rumors, huh? Trolls, huh? Ask the individuals in M7(Houston) affected last Monday. Pretty deep cuts.

Know someone whose last day was last week and was from a group that had been told they'd already had enough headcount reduction so no more would be needed.

Trust that there are plenty of layoffs happening as we speak. My guess is that the majority are working remotely, so the effect on the office morale will not be significant, however, you will begin to see the farewell emails trickle in nine business days from now, once the impacted persons' two weeks have expired. I have already seen one last week, and there are other personal anecdotes on here. This is real. And FWIW, I would see this more as a support group, rather than a band of trolls, trying to stir up angst.
