Is there an HP employee handbook? I have asked co-workers, managers, HR representatives and searched the web. Where can I find the HP employee handbook? I thought a publicly traded company is legally obligated to have a handbook on site or available on request. Why are new employees paid more that veteran employees? Is this a written HP policy or HP management collusion to cheat us from a fair/equal wage? If you are part of the layoff, ask your HR rep, in writing, for copies of all documents/agreements you have signed during your time at HP concerning confidentiality, trade secrets etc. which they expect you to hold you to within 72 hours of request.

When you take the "required trainings" like SBC, etc., they log your acknowledgement of awareness, understanding, and acceptance of their policies. What you refer to the "HP Employee Handbook" is simply the combination of the individual trainings you take covering the Company policies. In terms of salaries, there's not much you can do there. They have a lot of room to play with titles, salary ranges, etc., so there's no regulation there.
They play the FUD game when they give you notice, so you sign up quickly and give up voluntarily plenty of rights.
