the amount of ilearns at HAL are far less than other big corporations I've worked at by a long shot. the ilearn culture is a common thing at all multinationals these days.
blaming HAL for all of sperry's problems is scapegoating. It might be true, but management and middle management can't use that as a crutch.

Interesting reply agent 1ueb. Curious, what is the benefit of keeping such a bloated org chart and management level ? Trim it down, put it on auto pilot and hand it off as a project for the integration team. Hell, they need something to keep themselves billable.
Halliburton has this product line pinned down, Sperry can not do what is right for Sperry as long as Halliburton ties their hands, so the question is pointless. The next directional / logging company Halliburton aquires will be run into the ground as well. Halliburton is the Walmart of the oilfield.
