What do you think about engage survey? Will there be layoffs if people don't participate in the survey.

The survey is not anonymous, I told the truth about my boss and upper management and got laid off 3 days later lol.

What happened to Schlumberger? It used to be a great opportunity company for everybody. Since Gould left and the new CEO and his proteges took over, its all about pushing for the EPS and their own bonuses. I couldn't believe the CEO got up to 18 M paycheck as soon as he fired 10,000 of his employees (2015?) !

I'm engaged more than I have ever been. I'm focused and every time I hear about the wonderful results of the transformation, I am driven even harder. When my n+1 lies to me and goes around me it just makes me all that much more engaged. When we tank the business to meet a KPO that hampers our growth and ability to respond to our clients. I feel empowered and redouble my engagement. Only issue is my focus and engagement is in finding another job outside of Schlumberger where upper management cares more about the success of the company than their own bonus and their next promotion. Sad that even Band employees have had enough of this wretched company.

What happened to "people are our biggest asset"

By the way - the survey is anonymous to Schlumberger but not to Gallup.

Schlumberger can request data from Gallup and there is nothing in contract that stops Gallup from sharing the information

2mdv, it's not being paranoid, it's many years of experience seeing those who gave honest feedback soon be transferred to an out of the way hole or be moved to the top of the layoff list. Upper mgmt in SLB got where they are by strictly abiding by the numbers, crushing any dissenters, and squeezing every drop out of those working under them. It's all about how much more they can take away from the employees and how much harder they can push them. That is the SLB culture. If that's not how you manage, you are pushed out.

They are gauging for the next cut in benefits. It's always a little at a time so you do not notice and get used to it. These guys aren't the grinch. Their hearts are not going through a sudden growth spurt and start caring what employees think.

hell, if they cared they would just read this board, if they had half a brain they would realize everyone is disenfrachised , unengaged or whateva

The purpose of survey is to find employees who are not engaged and ask them to leave the company. This will create a more engaged workforce..

wow - paranoia reigns here......the concept is actually taken from Cameron where the management gets real feedback on how things are going. Rather than hide on this side and rattle on about your disenfranchisement and entitlement not being met, you should give your opinions. I think it is the first time that SLB is taking a 360 view of management and how they are performing. Most every other company does this yearly and SLB are finally following suit. Individual managers will get feedback from their teams on how they are perceived - this will be very eye opening for many and hopefully a chance for better communication and interactions with all, not just the management ranks.

How about sharing the questions with us?

I got laid off and just interested to know

paper surveys would solve this. There is no point in doing surveys if upper mgmt has their minds made up.... sounds like another bs move to justify upper mgmt choices that have been made.

The survey is not anonymous. Names are attached to all comments. Tell them what they want to hear, not what they need to know, and you will be fine. Truth is dead in Schlumberger.

just another survey HR put together to test their workforces attitude and moral & helping them make decisions as another turn in the road is closing approaching. All it is! Do it, you work for them, they pay you, its apart of your job duty.

It is confirmed in HFE that there will be redundancies if you don't participate or if you give No to more than 2 questions.

Purpose of any survey is to gauge people's thinking and predict their actions, therefore if you say it's all good they would further their existing agenda, if you say it's bad they would track you down hunting for sick dogs, sorry I meant to say, disgruntled employees

Bullsh*t again...do not participate unless forced to, if you participate, lie, and make it seem like you are an engaged employee. It'll help you keep your job

This is a 3rd party company so i doubt Management will know who supplied the data, unlike question of the day etc.

Why are we paying a 3rd party company money to do this is my question of the day.

As a manager I can tell you we know your responses and who provided them. Believe me, that I will tell you. Layoffs will follow. Bad!
