Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

What did Sandy Hogan have to do to become a Cisco SVP?

Does anyone else think it is odd that Sandy Hogan went from being a housewife to a Cisco SVP in 8 years? I also find it odd that for being a Cisco overlay she wields a tremendous amount of power. It seems like anyone that disagrees or is perceived to have crossed her is immediately eliminated by Brian Marlier.

"Cisco D-Day in motion"

"Well the limited restructuring is in motion and it's across the board. Would be interesting to see if all of the cronies under SVP Brian Marlier (1,155 direct reports) in Enterprise is affected. Especially the Business Value Approach group headed up by Marlier's worthless personal assistant VP Sandy Hogan (355 direct reports). She has more directors and managers without any reports that bring absolutely no revenue into the company. Yes part of the ole boys club at Cisco which ultimately is driving this company into the ground.

"Also, really nice when at a company meeting, JC asks one of the Cisco workerbees to stand up and look at the audience and then says how would you feel if you had to let go family members? 'It's really tough huh?' Not so tough when you're getting a 80% raise that was just announced."

So wait, we cannot comment on performance by Cisco leadership by name who are greatly responsible for driving the direction of 70,000+ employees?

Can someone write to admins and ask for this thread to be removed as it does not comply with the Content Rules listed below?

-jdt and -INtnFfx - both of you kind of lose as they will certainly nuke the thread. while reese was kind to us and almost never deleted comments, layoffs dot com administers heavily (imho) - let's go bakc to reese

@avl - I hear you but at the same time discussing individual contribution, worth, professional acumen, etc. on this board (or anywhere on the internet) crosses the line for me. I would not want my name to be on this site and I would not want people making both wrong or right statements about me here. That's all what I am saying, I am not arguing for or against this particular person (I have never met her or worked with her)...

When it comes to C-Level, the test is different as they are public figures and are often judge and evaluated by the media. But when it comes to rank and file folks (regardless of the level), I think that the site is right to say that no names should be used.... So @avl - how would you feel about your name being listed here?

So think about it. In general there has rarely even been anyone that rises that fast in a company unless extreme knowledge, based on past experience, or some non ethical efforts. Without internal backing that has a hidden agenda, she may have not been able to achieve this goal. I would watch this with much suspicion.

No names please... Take a look at the Content Rules bro. Using names is the best way to have all your post deleted and have your IP banned...

Content is prohibited if it: "threatens, harasses, or bullies or encourages others to do so", "is personal and confidential information"
