Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

Layoffs happing right and left and the replacements are in India

We have seen two people that were assigned to our account let go in the past couple of weeks and they have been replaced with folks in India. Unless you are absolutely needed in your current job -meaning that if you leave then the production will stop then you can get to have your job. Otherwise, your job goes to India. period.

Meg is just the ordinary joe shmo CEO, and these CEO are not visionaries, they can only run the company from a pure financial view point. All she knows is to cut the company into pieces and replace people here and move their jobs overseas. She's no Steve Jobs or Amazon CEO. Besides she has enough money of her own from eBay lucky days and she can screw as many people as she like.

Pretty sure there's more than 28 in the US. A little out of touch perhaps. Re.. the India/CR thing.. They have no skin in the game, totally removed from the client experience. Their only concern is close tickets.. as fast as they can.. They're measured on it... so no concern about the client and the client relationship.

Seems like there are more of us in the US than 28... just saying.

I'm one of 28 still employed working from the US. What HPE doesn't understand is that their "savings" with offshore is going to bite them in the a-- in the long run. Experienced US workers think outside the box and have a sense of urgency. It's not the same in India or Costa Rica. these clients will only take so much of incompetency before HPE gets the boot.

Companies can change without offshoring their entire US staff, so I'm not sure how that garbage comment is relevant.

I have lost everyone that was based in US on my account in our support roles and yes, they were replaced by shared resources in India. We also lost an engineer last month to be replaced with Indian resources. In the support roles, unless your contract specifies that US based employees have to be on site or working remotely in the US, those people will be off-shored, Most of the work from those that were let go has rolled down to me. Every Monday I expect my WFR meeting to be scheduled. Every US based employee should be looking to retire or for a new position elsewhere.

Things will only get worse... at least in this part of the world. Time to look for another job right away - if you haven't started yet.
