What is the impact of this in India ? Is technical services being moved from Bangalore to Pune?

Cisco uses India as a low cost body shop. Over the years we have seen TSN, Partner Certifications and TAC get moved to India. It is an appealing way to cut costs for management. They can cut a US engineer and hire 2 or 3 in Pune/Bangalore although 'hire' is a relative term. They actually contract with what is effectively a people-mill to fill the roles based on a SOW. Some of the engineers are excellent, others are clearly not.
This is how the industry works.
The reason it is ramping up so quickly is that many Cisco managers have ties 'back home' and nepotism is rampant.
This center destroyed the lives of many engineers and killed their careers....
There is large scale attrition all over the cisco tac India center even without a layoff ....they will not admit it. Most of the good engineers head to competitors .
Agree , most of the engineers in TAC Bangalore have given up . There were some excellent hard working engineers initially here bad administration and greedy superiors have killed it and now most of them are being pushed around or have lost interest . The administration is trying with programs such as MTech , team outings and fun programs to develop interest in the center but it is too late .
Nobody cares about what goes in Cisco India but Cisco India. Total sh*t-show.
