Is this the complete dumba$$ that sold the core Barnett at the same time COP was acquiring Burlington who had a crappier position in the Barnett? That person/group deserved to be canned but probably got promotions. Same goes to the whole Piceance leadership team. What a joke!
Emperor of Doom refers to his days with asset sales. Mr W helped market (and implement the sale of) multiple assets globally in his time at COP.
Not sure why you would call the former manager of Nio the emperor of doom. He managed to convince upper management to keep Nio or place such a high price on a sale that nobody would buy it. That after wasting $1billion on the property and drilling 43 uneconomic wells (even at $80+/bbl). That acreage should have been sold after the first few wells, but people let their egos drive their decisions; i.e., COP told Wall Street that the Nio was the third jewel in their crown of unconventional plays and there was no way they could admit to Wall Street that they were wrong.

Transfer all of the Americans out of Canada...they have "planned" and "executed" projects that are underperforming and over budget. But they have an HSE background, so common sense is waived!
