....when Vz says it's over. Union is not coming back with the current offer. This seems okay according to vz. They will keep throwing bodies at the problem. The fallout will be someone else's problem in a couple years. This is just a speed bump.

Union members keep thinking there is going to be a moment of desperation and Vz will be begging for the union to come back. This is not going to happen. They have spent 2 years planning. When union leaders flinched last year it gave vz more time.

It seems that the union leaders are bad at math not to understand vz sees this as a payoff. Don't come back. not sure vz gives a rat ass It seems management here does not miss you.

Sucks to be in your shoes. I'm sure some are sitting pretty. Some are seriousily f---ed and may end up crossing.

More or less likely the deal has been done and still waiting on formal ratification. No one will be coming back unless vz has your consent to the terms.

Union has to be able to spin the bad news and present in palatable way.

The strike will end per shammo. Vz may have spent a few beans to roll with the ignorance, but remember, Vz is also saving approx 17 million a month with the union on walkabout. Nobody cares about wire-line except the union and possibly frontier.

gmr - I get it. Vz gets it. The union doesnt. Losses and brand reputation has been factored. Vz considers itself resilient enough to push through this. The number is 200 million. Big number but not compared to 4.6 Billion.

Dividends will be impacted however investors are not fleeing.

Nowhere near the real figure. $250-300/month per employee would be a realistic estimate.

There might be something actually going on that would fit this narrative, at least in principle. However, if one compares the so-called LBFO to current Frontier contracts that are in place in their unionized areas, LBFO is far worse of a deal for the workforce.

This will take a couple of years at least. Even if VZ were to lock the union out and hire replacement workers, there are several issues that would need to get resolved to satisfaction of both sides in order for VZ not to end up in court which would realistically stop any sale of these territories for the foreseeable future.

I agree with this. I think there is a man behind the curtain pulling the strings....and Lowell may just be the puppet, not the puppeteer as we all think. Who knows, if Lowell can get the union completely out, imagine how much higher the sales price will be.......
