Union call center employees in wireline get paid twice what the avg non Union call center workers get paid.
Just what VZ overpays on the 14k Union call center workers will (over three year contract) be more than the short term losses. It will be a loss they write off their taxes and then a massive gain for the future years. Union Labor is not cheap.
Because EWA folks (part of the 99%) are on this board defending the 1% and their decisions all hours of the day.
The 1% do not care about the 99%
Businesses were originally created to serve customers. Not the case anymore. Unfortunate that it has come to this.
Why did Mark Greed dump almost a million dollars worth of stock just prior to the strike???? I would guess he knew it was going to drop like a rock.

Because he has to. He can't lie about that sh-- to investors.
Why would Fran admit this info voluntarily?
Why do you assume EWA looks up to those people?
Wow I'm a dummy and I knew that would happen.
@zdh is a typical pro-corporate pillow-biter...he/she prefers no Vaseline..oo baby I like it raw
Let's see, the top 5 guys make over $45M a year and they weren't smart enough to know they'd lose sales and stock value due to the strike? Especially in today's highly volatile and cut-throat communications industry? And the EWA scabs look up to these people? Man, talk about lambs to the slaughter. Maybe the EWA'ers get an allowance for Vaseline to help smooth the ride to the RIFs?
-sns,
nice try union troll.
All this means, is we need few of the stupid union fools.
BREAK THE UNION, and save a billion or so.
The stock is about to dump down so get out now while u still have some value.once the next quarter comes its going to be worst. So take your loss and go back in after the third quarter if the start to recover...vz trending down down ..just hk your stock charts ..I predict vz going to 46 then stabilize..watch and see
I didn't believe the union hype that sales were down until I saw the article myself. Doesn't take a genius to realize replacement workers are drunken opportunists who could care less about their work since they will soon all be memories anyway and will head back to their Florida swamp lands after amassing a small fortune being scabs. The strike no longer benefits anyone so amazingly watch it end within a week.
Oh no, stock is 49 and some change! Better get work brothers and sisters before the wheels come off this train!
