There is also some talk of hurricane season, as the union walked back in last strike and had they held out 1.5 weeks longer, Big V would've caved due to Hurricane Sandy and replacement workers inability to cope or fix major issues after the storm.
Many feel like the last contract was a slap in the face of associates, and there is a big push from membership to remain out until a contract has been ratified.
No one wants the union back until the contract is signed. We all agree on that part. It will be FAR more satisfying to watch the union come to work with hang dog faces because they realize their union leaders chose to not let them vote on a contract, pushed them to strike because of the democratic primaries, and made union members go without pay for months....for nothing. I can't wait to laugh at you.
All workers are replaceable including union workers. Go back to work and be happy you have a job.

No one that I talked to wants to go back until a Contract is signed. We've been out this long and are ready to stay out longer to get a decent Contract.
I think another 3 weeks. The union rank and file aren't hurting enough yet to accept the inevitably bad contract.
