Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Breaking records at Verizon. No absences or FMLA used in the past month!

Guess we have to thank the Union members for not calling out "sick" or using FMLA for bs reasons.

Exactly, these spineless cubicle inhabitants are way too scared to ask for time off in fear of being canned. Or they have to wipe the gunk off of the corners of their mouths after swallowing for th boss or cower at their desks.

Yep, can't go on FMLA if you're fired. Those that haven't quit yet have gone out on disability. That is that truth. lol

Know an associate in a call center in Richmond VA was out 12 weeks because she broke her right foot. She sat at a desk all day taking phone calls. I ask the question why would you need to be out of work 12 weeks for a broken foot and you sit all day to do your job? Company finally requested her to see company doctor. Guess what all of a sudden she was able to return to work. Union people taking advantage NEVER.

That's why VZ wants to get rid of the Union. They take advantage of the company i.e. sick time, FMLA. Worked with a Union person several years ago wanted to take FLMA because his dog was sick.
