Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Any news about the Tulsa OK site?

Anyone know if this site is closing? In the past month almost 400 CSR and 20 tls have been let go. Just wondering if I should be worried about losing my job. I have heard a lot of rumors that on the 27th after our tls ops review we would know if we had a job or not.

It seems that Missoula, Denver, and Tulsa are all experiencing the same thing in terms of "surplussing" and terminations (voluntary and involuntary). It's depressing at my site. I am assuming the cost of keeping these three open may be more than AT&T wants to pay. Nothing heard about Boise, Huntington, or Huntsville mainly because these are sales-based or retention sites. No technical or billing care at these sites.

Dtv site, We have went from almost 1000 CSR down to around 550 in the last month. On the 20th is some of the TLS last day. Most have just been fired. Tls got a severance pack.

DTV O&O site. Technical, Case Management, Chat, AQ. CSR 1, 2,3.

Roughly 400 have quit or been fired in the last few months. Probably more voluntary than involuntary.

The last round of layoffs included a St Mgr, a Sr Mgr demotion to Team Manager, a couple TMs, and roughly ten TLs. Plus communication, recognition, CI/QA.

What type of center is this (mobility, dtv, etc...)? How were the 400 let go (termed, quit, layoff)?
