May 20 Is Just Another Made Up Date To Intimidate The Union Members.

Last, Best, Final...This week we are going to hear the words Impasse...Mediation...Lockout. We are also going to see these drop dead dates like June , July, etc...All these words, and dates are used in bargaining negotiations to place fear in the Union membership. It's just the way it is. Verizon would not use them as much as they do, if they were doing well with their Strike contingency plans that's for sure.

May 20th will undoubtedly hold some form of company final warnings, but what ever Verizon puts out on May 20th will not be the end of the Union, or the Members Jobs, or this work stoppage. The Federal Law does not allow it.

The Government is now involved. So Verizon needs to put away there drop dead dates.

You do have a reading comprehension issue. Or your meds are wearing off. There was no mention of xtb being an attorney. Call your Doctor , you need hopefully you have time to address your issues.

Might want to check the law again. Verizon can and will hire replacements if the union doesn't settle.

I heard verizon is going to use nerve gas on the Phillipinions as a warning to the people in India not to contact any union member in the states. I believe May 20th is the date.

Outsourcing for one. Keep American jobs in America. Verizon isn't poor paying people 1.78 an hour in the Phillipines without overtime pay is asinine. Pure greed, plain and simple. If EwAs think they can't be replaced as well on a count of corporate greed, you are very mistaken.

What is a fair contract? What are the objections to the proposal?

Verizon only need 20,000 people to replace the striking workers because half of the strikers are lazy morons and the other half's work are going to Philippines.

Wall Street seems pretty happy with things so far. No need to hire and train 39,000 workers. Almost 2,000 have returned to work and really, on average we only need one working employee for every three union employees anyway. So 8,000 contractors would probably do it. Many of those are not untrained. Comcast and other communications companies have laid off many good people over the last few years.

I have some very bad news for The Verizon hopefuls....If you couldn't do it now with one month of your trained EWA staff, and 3 years of planning for this. How in the World are you going to replace nearly 40,000 well trained, very experienced work force to a level of productivity that Wall Street will be pleased with?

Stop telling me to agree to your contract.....Negotiate a fair contract for both sides.
