Makes me nervous that they are easing their minds while they pull something. We have gotten a second letter from Verizon offering to help my Rifd family member get declared disabled. So helpful those people at Verizon. Unless you are a CEO, employees over 50 should sit at home collecting Social Security and the government approved foreigners will carry the load for them. Not knocking anyone that goes the disabled route. It isn't easy going on those interviews with snow on the rooftop.

They still need to pass the bill to the State Congress.
Yes, but what is missing from the story is the details. It still has to be voted on by the state senate and if it passes must be signed by the governor. Oh, by the way, if it does make it to Christie, he is expected to veto the bill and there are not enough votes to override the veto.
I'm from the government and I am here to help you!
OMG, I can't wait for the Tooth Fairy to show up!
While I don't agree that we should be collecting unemployment, we walked off the job, calling unemployment a handout is complete wrong. It is something many of us have paid into for our working lifetime and have never seen a return on. Looks like the opportunity is getting closer to presenting itself.
The Government has nothing to do with this, they need to stay out of this.
"Pity" is not "support"
lets talk about handouts... 15 billion handout to Vz which they did not deliver on

They don't want government investigations. Most of the executive board would be with Madoff.
If the company refuses to bargain in good faith, bleed them financially until they do!
yep... give 'em what they want... handouts.
