Frontier extened the contract for 2years and gave the Union Company stock and Committed to be 100% United States based employed....Did everyone forget?
Frontier is employeeing the Technicians from Verizon FIOS, so dont tell me that the company is being more modern in wages, benefits, outsourcing and job security...when the same position has all of that in another company.
@Hm8ILD9 Why leave when we as Unions have a right to fight? Maybe you as an employee and American citizen if you are one, take notice for the 100% commitment to American base. That statment alone should make you think. Otherwise why dont you just move to India, since that is where wireless jobs are going.
OP: You should go work for Frontier then. It appears they offer benefits that you prefer over what Verizon offers.
That's what most people do -- if they don't like something about their current job they go find another job that better suits them.

Yeah so did Fairpoint when they first took over and then look what happened... You think a company taking over wants to have union troubles when they first take over? Wait and see what happens with the next contract.
Frontier is bleeding cash, look up their financials. They do not have a sustainable business right now and will be bankrupt if they continue down this path.
That's too bad. They just helped lazy, unmotivated people remain on the payroll forever.

Frontier has agreed to honor and extend current collective bargaining agreements. Highlights of the agreement include:
· The addition of 150 new union jobs in California;
· Employee job security and guaranteed workforce size;
· Extend the existing contract for two years with wage increases in each year;
