With Obama yet again on TV, taking credit for the Fed's reflation of the stock market as somehow indicative of an economic "recovery" ("fiction peddlers" not allowed in the crowd), here is another way of showing the unprecedented transformation in the US labor pool: since December 2014, the US has added just under 450,000 waiters and bartenders, and no manufacturing workers.
Behold: "Obama's recovery." Time to join a union, that is if there is one left by the end of 2020

If you want to take a serious look at the matter, you'll find out that Dems haven't really done much of anything for unions - with a very few exceptions such as teachers - over the past 30 years...at least.
As for the GOP, pretty much no one since Eisenhower has seen them in good light...

Obama led the policies which breathed life into Fannie, Freddie, GM, Ford, Citi, Wells, BoA, Chase, the job market, the global markets, and it's been at great measure through his team's perseverance despite an obstructionist House and now Congress. What did The GOP do? Voted themselves raises, excluded themselves from ACA, Trump started the Birthers, wasted millions on pointless investigations, blocked Dem efforts to resolve Git-Mo and Afganistan pullouts despite pre-election commitments to do so themselves, and spent most of each day as would a petulant child, just scheming ways to f over Dems.
Labor needs jobs for all people and entrapreueners to start new businesses. Dems did a lot toward these, with stimulus, tax incentives, and government projects. What did GOP do....zilch. Sorry if Obama didn't directly promote unions, but job creation implicitly does.
Trump-ites / Nationalists and Republicans can suck it, as you've not been relevant in a constructive way since Reagan.

I love the Republican guy. Low unemployment, not the real picture. High stock market, Obama has nothing to do with it. If we had a Republican president those two things would be pointed out as great accomplishments. The rich succeed in all conditions, the rest pick up the scraps. Less labor membership means less middle class, some are OK with that.
