Why are Union leaders not going without pay and health benefits like those they force out? Also, why are Verizon Execs not pulling 12-17 hour shifts climbing poles, working jobs out of town and fighting thru picket lines?

Band 5 are not exempt from EWA. There are some with strike duty assignments.
@HgyWNkU-tya, this company made it because it was a public utility and was able to get a foot hold into wireless with public money. That gave them a big advantage. You would have expected this company to have been kicking *ss already. There is something fundamentally wrong with Verizon. When a company shows you who they truly are Believe Them.
News flash....band 6 is not an exec. Band 5 and lower is....they get LTI. And they signed up for that lifestyle when they agreed to the job....band 6 and 7 did not. So yes, I ask myself that same question, what are the band 5 and lower folks doing different daily now that the strike is on.....nothing! And that is a sore spot with a lot of the 6/7 at my EWA building.
Every one of the band 6 managers in my group volunteered for EWA. Some are out there working the long hours and doing a great job. I'm sure that the higher management routinely works more hours than me, they are always on the road and always under pressure. I'm really proud of the management I'm associated with. This is going to be a great company once the union is out. Give it two years and we will be kickin asslike nobody can imagine.

Because they are the ones in charge? What I can't understand is why the union people are paying the people that are ordering them to work for free. At least I'm being paid by the people I'm taking orders from.
