Has anyone heard when the axe will fall this month?

Every Monday, indefinitely until all the jobs are shifted to India.
I made it through the 16th. This is like playing roulette.
Has the UK redundancy package changed, or is that just in the U.S.?
May 16th.
I think most at HPE are polishing resumes these days. Not a bad job but definitely not a place to develop a career at anymore, if it ever was.
My team in Houston was told to polish our resumes.
Some folks who have been here 2+ decades are saying these layoffs usually happen in the first and last quarter of the fiscal year; I don't buy that one bit.
Budget cuts:
Folks got cut from being at Discover in June, despite the fact that flights and hotel rooms had been paid for. How are they saving money when the hotels are charging 2 nights fee after a May 1st cancellation? How are they saving money if the dollars spent on flights aren't refunded but to be used any time within the next one year. Also heard, that anyone attending the Discover event gets charged $1K+ to their team per individual attendee. Internally charging your companies teams/employees self to be at an event? Kind of odd, no?
Next week - Every two weeks for the rest of the year
3par Storage and wireless division will have some layoff events.
I will strongly recommend start looking for job ASAP.
Do not think you will be a lucky one this year.
By the way the severance pay will not not be great!
I've heard monthly rounds until the end of the fiscal year.
I left HPE a month ago and management told me that the April round of layoffs would be the last for a while. But then heated about 2 more former coworkers that were let go just last week. So yes there are still layoffs going on.
In the UK consulation will be on 26 May so expect a VR window over Whit and the whole shoddy process around Compulsory Redundancy to start a week later.
The whole thing is sadly predictable.
