It amazes me that the leadership of the union isn't trying to be more aggressive in getting the membership back to work. They are out playing golf and enjoying life while the membership they represent has no income and no medical coverage.
It's good to be the union leaders. They get to be heroes whenever everyone goes back to work even if it takes six months, yet they don't have to deal with having no income or worry about someone in their family getting sick with no healthcare coverage. And they make pretty good money too!
The only people in this whole situation that are facing losing their house, car, and potentially life if they need to see a doctor are the union workers. The union leadership, the company, and the replacements all have plenty of money and healthcare coverage.
