The feeling of walking up to a house or a business, not having a clue what you are doing. This is happening everyday, clueless folks posing as techs, with customers watching. Watching some of these videos makes me wonder what goes on in their personal lives. Do the replacement worker's do any mechanical work at home? Ladders are not your enemy, yet you fight with them everyday.

Please stop with that claim about wage benefits. It's such a load of sh--. I work in IT and my salary is determined by skills required, market competition, and demand, not because of the CWA. When I leave verizon I will be able to stay in the same line of work and make a salary that is competitive to what verizon offers. I stay in contact with my ex coworkers and all of them found employment within weeks and due to their experiences at vz are now earning a higher salary. It looks like you will be in the job market in the very near short term. Let me know if the same ends up applying to you.
Of course I can't tell where you are but my location is a mess. We have one guy who really knows what he is doing, the rest try but it's frustrating. I went on a Fios call and was the third tech out, and it's still not working. I called the tech who can fix it but he said he is getting too many calls. In time it may get better, but I think customers are switching service.

If that happens, you non union people should prepare to get sh-- on by the company as time progresses. Without the union, the company can impose even more pay, benefits anf retirement cuts unopposed while they continue to invest and buy up failing businesses like AOL, Yahoo and GO90 on your dime. Don't think they won't screw you too.
Mudge ran over the metrics with us yesterday and we are actually doing just fine. We have 4 times less open tickets than we did during the 2011 strike. Of course you guys would be able to do a much better job but we are holding the fort well enough that media coverage of the strike is pretty much nil. They are bringing in a ton of contractors now. More new faces in my office everyday. I still hope this ends soon though. The union seriously already won with the offered contract. At least in terms that the contract offered is the best you will receive Please take it or they will replace you permanantely with contractors. This isnt a leadership with a soul or care in the world for copper customers. Realize the deck you have and start pushing your leaders.
I don't want to get better, it's not what I signed up for.
Just remember that just like you were new but got better in time so will they. Think about it.
