I'm so sick of the waiting. I literally have nothing to work on other than TU courses each day at work unless something else is given to me. Obviously, I'm going to be sacked at some point. Why not just do it now? The atmosphere here is horrible, and there is no camaraderie as there was before at this call center. I continue to seek other employment, but it is not a friendly market in my area. The waiting is the hardest. Why not just get it over with?

I have not heard anything yet, but with my position, I am unable to relocate, and so I will either be terminated/surplussed, or hopefully find another job in the interim. People in small markets are screwed. Thanks, AT&T.
so are you saying you haven't been notified of surplus yet? But you expect it? Or have you been surplussed, already just working out your 60 days?
All the AT&Ts courses, videos and diplomas, you'll ever get, have not value outside the T-bubble, Previous poster is right, take advantage of your situation as long as you can, AND use your time seeking other opportunities, only those who seek them shall find!!
Use this time to see employment elsewhere on ATT's dime. They expect it. You can still tell your prospective employers that you are an active employee at ATT. That cant be bad. Their courses are asswipe paper unless your dept was being saved and it is obvious it is not. Please! Seize the Day! Good Luck!
