Larry et al have majorly failed oracle. Failed to see the cloud revolution coming, failed to react even when it was obvious, and now failed to identify the people and resources they need to catch up. Oracle has been bloated with redundant legacy software for so long now, that this kind of trimming is well past due.

When the rate of change internally is less than the rate of change externally, a business is FINISHED. Set up your own companies instead of grovelling at the feet of the multinationals.
