Thread regarding Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) layoffs

2/3 of HPE will be spun off... and the other 1/3?

2/3 of the company was sold off to CSC. The remaining 1/3 worth just over $2B. HPE is hoping to be bought by another company.

Good news if you are a stock holder but not for employees.

Thought HPE couldn't be sold for a few years after it splitting from HP Inc?

This plus site consolidation means end of jobs for us or end of HPE as a company?

I have a grower feeling that HPE will be acquired either by Microsoft, Oracle, IBM or SAP, sooner or later.

Wasn't there something that said HPE couldn't be sold for the next couple of years after last year's split? When does that expire? HPE will be sold the day after that is lifted.

HPE is constantly looking to outsource to cheap destinations - China, India , Eastern Europe.

Many people work for <1000 USD a month.

But if Congo or Somalia offer cheaper workforce they will go there.

People are just no name FTE

I'm a part of the remaining 33% of HPE.

Let's hope for better days.

Not sure where you are getting your numbers. For 1st quarter FY 2016 HPE total revenue was 12.7 Billion with Enterprise Services earning 4.7 Billion of that. That's 37 % of HPE's revenue Enterprise Services earned. Not 2/3. Perhaps you are talking headcount ?
