I have heard the gains, pensions, 8 centers to stay open etc. But we already know they cheated is out of even the standard coat of living raises (standard 3%). Sure we get 3% the first time but only 2.5% each year after. The big unknown is healthcare. We know we are going to pay more, but we don't know how much. If it is 6%, that negates the "raises" for years 1 and 2 and puts us behind .5%. Most companies raise healthcare costs by 8 or 9%. Why are we going back to work before we know this KEY piece. This is the one that truly affects EVERYONE and their families! We need to stay out until we know the details!

Yes, we read and it said no QARs for New York City employees only. Nothing about the entire company.
Those deductibles get to $1675 in the last year of the contract (family).
Those are just the 2016 numbers!
It isn't a total win. Raise of $2000 after taxes this year (approx). Health care increase of $360 for the year for premiums, a family deductible of $1300, if a family of 3 each has 1 doctor visit $60. Plus drug costs are $10, $30, and $50 per month depending on level. So 2 generic prescriptions will cost $240 per year. All said if you don't use your insurance but the bare minimum, you will get a $10/week raise. That is not a cost of living win!!!

QAR is not gone. Everyone is assuming that. All the cut & pastes on here since Friday do not mention the ending of QARs. It's all hearsay and wishful thinking. The company wants to maintain the war on workers in order to have them take the EISP and get off the payroll.
Yep ... lost the raise on the medical. Lose-Lose on that one. Rest looks sort of good depending on the State you are in. QAR is gone and that is good. It remains to be seen what happens with the double-poles and more.
The company did not agree to spend this kind of money for poles and centers if they did not have something else in mind. What that something else is remains to be seen.
I will say this; I have always thought that when Mr. McAdams retires he wanted Verizon to be entirely wireless and the bulk of the wireline plant in the hands of another company.

Our raise is going to medical and drug costs will go up! Never once has a crooked insurance company altered the drug plan to help people under it. I bet the $250 won't touch the real costs! It is packaged well, but the math shows no real raise after medical. All that time on the line was wasted! Healthcare is what impacts us all every day!

All very astute observations . Now you see how the corrupt Unions operate under your nose. This is a all about buffeting their golf trips. They are a machine of the Democratic party. We also saw the same shenanigans with the Republicans in the primary voting crap. Both of these parties are corrupt to the hilt. There is a tell all book from an anonymous Democrat Congressman that is just came out or is coming out and he tells us all what we have for a system at this time. It is ugly. Only an insurrection will fix it but there are not enough with the testicular fortitude to see it through.

The only gains this deal has achieved is for Union leadership and the union office. We all know damn well what is happening by this rush to get us back to work.
