Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Lots of BS on this forum. Lots of it was mine. My apologies to anyone I offended or made feel bad.

I'm just a bitter old EWA. So please forgive me and pray for me that I can get back to BAU. Right now, I'm having a hard time thinking that I'll ever respect my subordinates again. And I need to get past that before Wednesday morning. And yeah, you can say that they only did what they had to do and I only did what I had to do. But I don't believe that for a minute. I think God every day that I'm an American. I'm free to make my choices and do as I choose to do. And I chose to work every single day for the last 45 days for 12 hours for the financial gain. Just like my subordinates chose to walk around in circles holding signs and shouting insults into the air. So how my supposed respect them when they come back next week? And if you don't think that respect makes any difference, but you really don't know how things work. So again, please forgive me and say a prayer for me and I'll say one for you and everyone that was involved in this

Excuse me for a minute while I tune up the world's smallest violin.

The Union doesn't give a flying crap about American Middle Class jobs. They only care for themselves or else we'd you hear a fight to save jobs every year when thousands lose there's to corporate America.

"In real life they sent 40K people on strike so they could unionize 175 wireless people."

Where are you getting the 175 figure from? If that's the case CWA just spent $230K on unionizing each of them...that does not sound right no matter how you do the math.

Won't be around much longer? The union makes it sound like they saved the world and saved the middle class.

Why would I get RIFd if you saved American workers? Guess you are myopic.

Take your pictures real quick. Chances are you won't be employed for that much longer from what I'm hearing...

It will never be quite the same once this is finally BAU. Some things can't be forgotten. Forgiven maybe but never forgotten.

I wish you the best moving forward.

I actually enjoyed working with the EWA's. They were professional and did their work, it was such a huge difference.

Im essential management with people under me and I have the same thoughts. I have seen the very immature side of the union and now will treat them different. We are not one team, it is them and myself split. I really have a problem with the outside people and will be taking pictures on the sleepers.
