Thread regarding AT&T Inc. layoffs

Missoula Directv Call Center

Does anyone know what is happening with the Missoula call center? I've heard rumors of closing and also people getting 60 days notice, what does anyone else know! Any information would be appreciated!

That is horrible. I'm a legacy DTV guy and had the chance to visit Missoula a while back and found everyone there to be fantastic. I have a number of friends there and it really sucks to hear this happening. Hopefully everyone there will find something better soon.

The same thing is happening here at the Tulsa,OK site. All of the trainers are being forced to travel to 3rd world countries to train our replacements or being offered a severance package. Most of all of our CSR's have been fired for new made up policies or are quitting due to the unfair practices of scheduling. All of the new policies are setup to get people fired to reduce payouts of unemployment and severance packages. Our most recent cut was about 8-10 Team Leaders. It's sad. I used to enjoy my job.

Missoula, Denver and Tulsa are pretty much a lock for closure.

Just today, they laid off the entire Customer Interactions group except for the supervisor and one CI person. They also laid off 3 team leaders and one manager so far. They already eliminated a lot of agent jobs by no more part time and the new schedule bidding as well as crackdowns on performance and attendance. It's pretty clear that AT&T wants to close the center, and no Union can stop that.
