"Seriously -- there will be a lockout next week at the end of the pay period."

Can't wait. Not holding my breath, though...

But many do not care about the company's last and best offer and union members are telling the company to stick it where the sun doesn't shine, many have better and more career advancement opportunities elsewhere if worse comes to worse. Some people don't like being in a "brown nosing/ yes man" environment either. So there you have it.

Verizon doesn't keep offering you more. They've made one "last and best/final" offer. They've tried all they are willing to. They are not going to allow unions to dictate how to manage their employees and I don't blame them.

Seriously -- there will be a lockout next week at the end of the pay period. People in the union had best make a decision pretty quickly if they want their job or if they want to leave and find a new one. If you don't make the decision, they will do it for you.

We have them by the shorthairs. It really is a two way street, the company considers their experienced workforce replaceable but their experienced workforce knows that they can always go out and find other good paying jobs if all comes down to it, thereby making this company/job replaceable. Many of the people I know are doing just that as we speak.

I don't think they will find 40,000 workers to replace you guys. 20,000 the most. And it is not overnight or two years. It takes three to four months.

I've seen you replacement workers, They'll be up to speed in about 2 years. Good luck with replacing 40,000 experienced workers over night.

No bargaining doesn't work that way.. Verizon would like to scare and bully all associates into that but not true. It will eventually go to mediation.

@H9byBqZ-vow Yes, you can keep believing in this. "The last, best, final offer"means it is the final chance for union. Take it or lose it.
