You really woke everyone up with the weak offer your going to have to negotiate this time you have pissed off countless people. You might want to listen to the people you've been kicking around for quite a while now. Time to make amends for the poor treatment of your employees or close the doors. If your plan is to try to pull the wool over our eyes think again it wont happen this time we own the social media.

I don't hate Verizon -- I have a great job and make lots of money. I'm sorry @dri that you're so bitter and angry.
Sorry to break it to you, but if you hate your current job that pays better than other companies with far better benefits, I'm afraid you're on of those people that will never be happy.
John Legere is the CEO company of the worst wireless company in the industry, and his only future hope is that he can sell off that money-losing company before he's forced out. The only reason you bring him up is because you're mad that Verizon doesn't cater to your union's ridiculous demands. What's funny, though, is that Legere hates unions too and if you worked for him you would even be getting a pension.
It makes me chuckle when people like you gush over someone who hates what you stand for.
I've been with the company 20 years so if I'm RIF'ed I get a great severance package. I'm actually hoping I do get RIF'ed because I can find another job pretty quickly and I'll be able to bank $100k or so.
I will be riffed. I can't change that but you have a chance if you accept the offer.
I'll be employed you'll be rif'd
I thought it was a great offer. If you folks don't want to take it then go without pay and benefits. Your choice.
Keep thinking that public perception will win this and you will be wrong and unemployed.
Time, patience and unlimited funds are useless over intangibles such as public perception, company image, etc. Everyone hates Verizon, from employees (except the H-1Bs from Indian) right down to their customers, who are becoming increasingly annoyed over increasing costs for services.
Started with John Legere at T-Mobile publicly embarrassing a moron like Lowell McAdam and it's only going to get worse.
NOT A CHANCE WE ARE FOCUSSED ON PAIN NOW.
They don't need to pull the wool over your eyes. They have time, patience and unlimited funds. I m sorry.. but take what they offer asap.
