Modeled after the European or Canadian system? Single Payer? Leaving it up to the Govt to run and manage? Ohh man some our union brethren sare me at times. The poster who identified Obama care as a disaster is spot on and this President owns that one. They let the insurance companies write the damn bill. Premiums about to go through the roof and yes, our Commie filled Unions endorsed this guy. Ponderous.

Hi.. I'm from the Gubbamint.. I am here to help you!!! Crack me up. They do a crack up job with Medicare as well no? You'd think anyone with half a brain would have seen that one coming. You all just keep pulling the damn levers for Commie lefties like good soldiers. Well, it's over. Trump 2016 like it or not and many working class Dems WILL be voting for him even when the Commie Unions dictate the you will not.

It's not about salary, but if they're trying to sugarcoat an increase in benefits etc with a 7.5 increase whereas in reality we are actually losing in the end, it's stupid.

This is where the company spin is coming in to play:

Look everyone, we're offering a 7.5% salary increase.....we aren't the bad guys!

@hil you can also put some of the blame for increased costs on the union, since they supported Obamacare. The health care cost increases are spelled out in the offer- there's an attachment... it would be a lot less than the 7.5% increase.

I guess we will see how the Union responds on that. For me, i really depends on what the costs will go up to for medical insurance, if the costs are over 7.5% for medical coverage over the life of the contract, and it is a wash or worse, that probably wouldn't be that much of a good deal on that end of it. However, I really don't blame the company for the rise in healthcare costs, it isn't really their fault. I squarely blame the US Government/Obamacare for that. I have always stated that Obamacare needs to be repealed/abolished. Its a bad deal for all of us. If we really want universal healthcare, a single payer system or one modelled after Canada / other various European countries would be better and more prefered.

7.5 is a baseless figure if everything else goes up 10.

No, thank you. I'll sit back, laugh and watch the place burn to the ground.
