Did it ever cross your mind that Verizon may not care if they lose thousands of wireline (not wireless) customers? They are probably going to have to 'fire sale' this business anyway. The capital losses will be deducted for years and will lower their already low effective tax rate.

It's not too early if you're out on EWA. Actually, it is highly-recommended that EWA folks avoid sobering up until the severance package is delivered. Then you can learn to enjoy life once again.
