The strike actually saved many of you from a rif. This place has no shame or loyalty, I wouldn't help them one bit. Do you realize they will rif you when this is over that's their plan!

Same old, tired scare tactics... Bring the RIF, 36 weeks of severance and I'll have a job in less than a month! Could use the chance to move somewhere else, too!
I agree if CWA loses all first levels will be gone. Vz will contract out all Fios and construction work
Yes, managers have been threatened for years with Rif's. Every few months the rumors fly "who's getting Rif'd"?
Remember if the workforce is gone and replaced with cheaper alternatives...you will also be replaced with cheaper alternatives.
Think about it...why would Verizon keep any current managers When they can keep a select few and let go all the older higher salary 1st levels? The Rif's won't then be rumors it will be the business model.

Don't you think we all know this already. We've been dealing with RIF's now for years. I don't know why you union people keep saying we will be RIF'ed. We already know that. Worry about your own jobs if they ever let you back that is.

Do you realize we have zero choice in doing an EWA? If we "management" employees refused we'd be fired for not doing our jobs since we don't have a union to back us up. At least when I get RIF'd later I'll be getting a severence package and unemployment. Even though I think EWA is horribly wrong for the company to force non union employees and I applaud the union fighting to keep jobs in USA, I can't quit my job to support you. I'm sorry, but it's how it is. Where I work joining a union isn't even a possibility. I don't understand what exactly you expect us to do to support your cause when we have zero protection if we refuse. I'm not willing to lose my house and the ability to feed my family to support the union since the union will not protect me from being fired. If that makes me a milquetoast kool-aid drinking scab then so be it.

That is very true. In fact they are kicking themselves in their collective a$$es that they laid off so many in November now that they need them. Oh well. This company deserves and has earned absolutely no loyalty. Whether you are union or management or customer; take this company for everything that you can.
