Is Strike does not end by 5/1 , (no paycheck and benefits end for Strikers) it is going to get real ugly and testy out there. Seriiously. Are the senior leaders really going to dump on these people again? These are the folks that got things straightened out after 9/11 and Boston and the snow and the ice and the huricanes. July and summer storm season is coming, and so is presidential election when telecommuications are critical. Given what is now considered a 'rounding error' in Finance, the fact that this is not settled is foolish.

The CWA and IBEW have played the company like a drum, beating the truth of them in public in the noon day sun. They have the company by the balls and the exec stewardship is already starting to have an impact.

@H2mlSIO-agg Yeah right buddy, keep telling yourself that. At the most the company might expect 1% of the members to resign and cross. That's 4,000 members at the most. The strike so far has a LOT of momentum and everyone is in it to win. We might suffer financially but the EWA people and company are going to suffer mentally.

Why do you think Speer sent the "update" that he did? He knows he was played for a fool, by CWA, who was played by Sanders, but is trying to get one more week out of his membership to try and save face. If we are in the same boat this time next week, the union might as well throw in the towel because there will be A LOT of resignation letters being sent to Union headquarters. Anyone can go and make enough money for groceries, but when you have to pay for your families healthcare, all bets are off. Your family comes before the "Union family". The same "union family" that put us in the position to make these choices to begin with by calling a strike when they did.
I don't want to cross but enough is enough. What's the union doing anyway? Why didn't they do anything when Verizon started routing calls overseas? They act like this is new.

Nonsense. The company created this charade to further punish wireline for being wireline, rather than simply renewing the contract.
Benefits cease 5/1/2016 at 00:01, so 1 minute after midnight 8 days from now. That's when the Union members will realize their leadership hasn't done anything for the past 10 months
