By now these corporate pigs should have seen at least a quick drop off of 36,000 wireless subscribers. This is what it's going to take to get them back to the table to sign a fair contract.

My friend just switched to Verizon from T-moblie. His kids were not getting his texts when they where in movie theaters and their friends with VZ were. I tell friends and fam to make their own decision, based on budget and where they live.
I've been trying everything to get people to cancel their service and they won't do it. In fact my own cousin told me I should be thrilled making almost $70k for answering phones and that a monkey could do my job so I should quit complaining.
Needless to say my cousin will NOT be invited to Thanksgiving this year!
@cnj, not sure if you've been on the planet earth recently but most carriers are covering the etf's when you transfer your service. Welcome back, hope your time on Mars was fun. Idiot!
So if everyone has a friend cancel vzw and they do , I have 2 questions . #1. Will the union pay your early term fees ? No so you will not only be without pay . You'll also be in the hole for an etf or 3 . #2 . How would that help? It would eat into the profits and make it less likely for them to cave to your extortion . So yeah its a lose lose situation

I tried but no one is willing to cancel their Verizon service. I tried to tell them how bad the company was and how mean they were but my buddy said that making $45/hour in this economy and demanding a raise every year is a tough sell plus wireless has nothing to do with the failing copperline

@H2Ysf57-nzk what you are arguing makes no sense. As of the end of the month the craft and union folks won't have any economic interest in the company, apart from being investors, and having and shared history.
The are fighting for their survival and the company drew first blood. If the union cumbles the manager are screwed.

What a bunch of bitter little creeps. It's no wonder everybody hates unions -- they are cancer to a workforce. There is nothing more annoying than listening to overpaid $60k/year phone jockeys whining because they think they deserve more.

This is why the managers are for the CWA and IBEW. Someone really has to draw the line with these guys. And it is not like any of them were true Pioneers. They only inherited the stewardship of the company's assets, but compensate themselves like they were heir to Alexander Bell.
@H2Ysf57-yat is exactly why the CWA & IBEW will win. The company has broken its word in almost every time to its managers. Since 2011 the company has grown warped, and current marketing totally sucks.
Managers who saw what happened to you, know how easily it will happen to them, and in the interim, humiliates and depersonalizes them further by removing all vestiges of personal privacy. The new V-Team in action. WTF???

I could give a rat's a$$ about Verizon surviving as a business. They laid me off, gave me my 35 weeks and I'm out. I will never have a Verizon service again.
Anyone asks me and I tell them how it is and will they want to do business with Verizon? Probably not.
I know it's not personal it's just business. Well, it's bad business to keep $hitting on all your employees eventually you fuk enough people over and it will blow back on you. Especially when you are as arrogant and greedy as Verizon leadership is.
I can't even remember the last time Verizon missed earnings and yeah that just happened today. Maybe it's nothing, maybe it's the beginning of a downward spiral, time will tell.
My brother canceled all of his business services to the tune of about 15k a month. Less than 1% churn for the quarter though, my @$$.
if you take customers away from Verizon, who is going to pay for your salary when you go back to work?

Well, that's where we go a-ridin' into town, a whampin' and whompin' every livin' thing that moves within an inch of its life. Except the women folks, of course.
After they laid me off at the end of December, I got 20 friends and family to cancel. But....according to verizon, they added subscribers in Q1.
Just goes to show you either people are idiots or just like throwing money away. Because what I have now works just as well as Verizon at a 3rd of the cost.

Decreasing profits seem to be counterintuitive if your looking to get a piece of the pie.
