Thread regarding Follett layoffs

Out of touch manager....

Got an email from my manager that said it is time to do goals and objectives. Asked him what the corporate and department strategies were so that my goals and objectives would align to support the strategies. His response - "I don't know".

Does anyone know where the titanic is heading?

Was the plush hotel a retreat from all who hate them???? Did they have lobotomies while they were their? Or were the deciding how much to give themselves a raise before the collapse as I think Ex's get pensions.......................

Lol. That was my manager. I had to write the goals for him as he had no idea how to. I mentioned S.M.A.R.T. And didn't know. Should of told him that he needed some manager training (and this guy was at a director level!)

Perhaps she doesn't know the strategy either because the person she reports to never shared it with him. it starts at the top. Lets not forget that the "brains" of Follett went to an offsite meeting at plush hotel to finalize the strategy for next year. It has been awfully quiet for the past few months. Not even a town hall in many, many months

All managers are just trying to survive the cuts themselves .There are no leaders here just hind kissing and agreeing if it means saving their jobs .
