If you thought the last few layoffs impacted the corporation, wait until the layoffs that are going to happen this week. This is based on what info? Are there even 500 associates left? Vp's, rm's, svp's going to run the bookstores? They can return all the books to meet the goals then & listen to the pissed off professors & students because books are gone, gone, gone!!!
They need to layoff or just fire from the top down. High paid, poor decision makers need to go. This is smarter than trimming the lowest paid that run the store and really bring in the profits.
Bookstores, HR, Finance, and IT. It's infrastructure and development to be the last ones standing. Everyone else will be outsourced. Goodbye American workers. Hello outsource cheap labor.
