Here we go once again. Return books to only order them again for summer semester. Follett please explain how this makes sense!! Pay for shipping both ways!! OH that's right, its one on the many idiotic decisions that you will blame on the store employees. We know what we need for late spring classes and summer classes. Please let us do our job, we have intelligence, we know our jobs. Freight is expensive why pay twice. Come to the store and explain our empty shelves. Looks like we are going out of business. Maybe that' s next!!!

So, if you meet all your goals and objectives what does that get you, no raise, reduced benefits and doing the work of ANOTHER associate that they've RIF'ed? That sounds good.
Hardly amusing. My goals and objectives are dependent on stores following home office procedures and decisions.

I work at the Westbrook office. We make decisions for the best interest of the division as a whole. It is VERY important that you follow every decision passed down to ensure maximum success.
I agree. My RM was in last week and said to return all books as the ROIC is way too high for the division. In addition we can take the chargebacks against the vendor payments improving cash flow. Whether I agree or not, I will follow the rules so I don't get terminated for cause. Only an idiot would say the leadership provides decisions and they should only pick and choose which ones to follow.

Now that's funny. You come on here crying that the big bad company is picking on us again. Trying to shift the accountability of your actions, or in your case the lack there of. You want some advice. Quit your job. You are making the rest of look bad. I'm tired of having to pick up the slack for losers like your self. No where in the directives I received did it say to return 2nd eight week or summer books. Actually the point was made very clear not to return those books!
AS a comment of course we know what books we need. We know what we need for spring and summer,don' insult intelligence. Just saying we MUST follow RM orders as they MUST follow their orders. IT is not or decision when we are told it MUST be done. My big mistake was thinking this post would have quality comments, not insulting remarks.

You are just speaking for yourself. Directive or no directive...if you know you need the books...don't send them. Come on, use some common sense. My guess, you didn't do the research to know what books you needed to keep. You must flitter the directives and use only what applies to your location.
