Thread regarding Follett layoffs

UConn is considering leasing the Co-op to Follett. Tell UConn's president you story. There is a price to paid for hurting employees. pay day

The office of the president has a contact form. Use it to tell her what a POS (not just a point of sale system, here at Follett) is. http://president.uconn.edu/contact/

The industry journal, Shelf Awareness published this- http://www.shelf-awareness.com/issue.html?issue=2710

So, we've been kicked around a lot. We've been brutalized, over worked, fired, out sourced, disrespected, marginalized and laid off. We can prevent UConn from engaging. Write the president and let her know how terrible Follett is!

Don't you think is more important to help UCONN than try to save a dying business that sells overpriced books to college students?

As a lifelong Connecticut resident, I'm heartsick to see the Co-op change after all these years. Such a vital part of the university. Follett had their chance there years ago, now promising millions to the school to get in again. Little does the school know what's going on with the company. I hope the UConn board does its due diligence before signing on the bottom line. Seems 7000 signatures from the community were not enough to sway them.

Just direct customers to read this board. Follett's reputation is solidly dismal and getting worse by the day. I want to do business with a company that respects its employees, honors its values, cares about its future.

Message sent! That's easy.

I'm sorry, Follett's future won't be made by landing this one account. Follett has been dishonest with its employees these past several years. I've had enough!

tacit complicity is a much better option, you're right!

Seriously? Who would get hurt other than remaining employees? Do you think the family or executives make less money if you persuade UCONN to not choose Follett?
