There's is a lot of vile negativity and company bashing on this forum right now.
As a change of pace, tell us what keeps you working at Schlumberger.
Why have you not quit yet and gone elsewhere to work?

The Blue Print told me to stay, so I stay.
I love working with all of the Indians and South Americans. They are truly a joy to interact with. Not the least bit arrogant, and with such amazing English skills!
So Kibsgaard can keep earning his $30M off my hard work.
I love working for incompetent managers with H-1B visas whose sole intent is to layoff Americans and transfer work to Mumbai. Also, we have double-ply toilet paper, and free coffee.
I stay in the company for several good reasons and the are:
SLB management looks after their people and is a joy to work for
The pay is excellent
The work culture truly supports a great work/life balance
There is a huge level of trust and wellbeing that pervades the company culture
This is a company that doesnt have any politics
I am passionate about the cafeteria food, especially the fried chicken and gravy. That is what I like best about SLB. Everything else sucks, my supervisor and co-workers included. You bastards know who you are. Just stay away from me.
Not a long term career company with number based management upto segment vp. Sorry but it's the reality. Slb is a fools paradise. One bad quarter and they save their pips by showing you the exit.
The OP thinks that his/her question will lead to less vile negativity and company bashing than other threads? Reality check!
Personally, I stay 'cause I love those blue coveralls!
That's the stupidest question I have ever read on one of these boards. Let's see..... A paycheck, a package, benefits. How many jobs do you think are out there just waiting for you to apply. Do you not think these people aren't already looking and would leave if something comes a long. Do you not see what the economy is doing and oil and gas specifically?
I am just taking their money and playing the politics until things get better and I find another job
"The fish rots from the head"
You'lll see when oil picks up how many people will stay there......SLB is not a company to trust.....those f...ks they think they can get aways with messing up 40K persons lives without a bite from reality. If you still trust this company after all this, then you deserve whatever happens to you......
This company is pure stress to the hard working family man!
The only thing that keeps me at SLB is my team. Trying to protect them from the know nothing "managers" who just do as they are told. Slashing and burning us to the bottom of the death spiral. We'll be at the bottom soon enough and there will be no reason to stay.
Lot's of good tools to steal before starting my own mechanic shop
U don't quit boy. U get layoff or fired that's how u collect that $$$$$. Lol
its only because of my passion....Not for the cheque or my manager
