BS. From my experience management from top to bottom and HR are unethical and unprofessional.
Enbridge is not a bad company, though there is a small percentage of people who don't represent the company's core values. Unfortunately those people are so good at acting and sucking up that they are usually the ones who end up sticking around, increasing the proportion of unscrupulous people within the organization. Wish there was a way of identifying those people so that the right people get to keep their jobs. Hope lies in the fact that justice will ultimately prevail.
It's true that transparency is lacking as there are quite a few people who appear to know what will happen which is causing anxiety to those who only hear bits and pieces. It was better the first time when only a select number of people knew. Enbridge should keep this within executive management, or give everyone advance notice. None of this in between wishy washy stuff that is happening.
Enbridge didn't give the respect, like what they claim to be one of their core values, and the honesty to the employees being laid off. What they did really leave a bad taste in the mouth to the layoffs and, on top of it, make people feel like being back-stabbed twice.
Enbridge has most toxic and politically disgusting HR department of any major public corporation I have ever heard of or witnessed. The truth will be worse than the rumors and the company is not even telling which employees or contractors when their last day will be. Surprising them evidently shows more respect and integrity.
Are you sure about this
