From today's Houston Chronicle, Dave Lesar, CEO of Halliburton, announces that although the current scheduled layoffs will continue, to rid the company of "non-productive, deadword, mainly those who are over compensated and have more than 3.5 years of service, we see a new round of hiring, not only to position the company for the continued rebound in oil and gas prices, but to ensure a "happy, more tolerant, snyergy" with our new family of Baker Hughes employees, whose highly valued skill-sets will NOT leave them feeling threatened by old-thinking Halliburton employees.
In additional Halliburton news from the corporate offices, Mr. Lesar announced the purchase of a new Boeing 787 jet for corporate use, as well as a $450 million yacht purchase to allow senior executives the ability to either relax, or entertain major clients.
