How is everyone on this fine Chevron day? I have decided to start calling us ROMulans and see if the name sticks. What do you think? ROMulans from the Enterprise. We could have some fun with this. At the very least, it is better than Deadwood. I really do not like that.

Lol on the sh*t or get off the pot. I try not to use the CVX facilities, some people act like they were raised in a pasture. I'm not keyed up by your ROMulans comment, just pointing out that we've sadly used that many times before, and unfortunately will use it many times in the future. Sorry to hear about your ex-pat must-move status. It's valuable experience and I'm confident that you'll successfully leverage it to your future success. Keep your chin up, spirits up, and live long and prosper.
@Gch9CPG-yae Is "the land of office bigotry (GOM)" TO YOU just recently or was it that way when Mr. Williams was VP of GOM operations? Or is that a different kind of bigotry that you perceive, or perhaps you just a victimized whiner of sorts, like in many CVX business units? I've worked with many BU's in my role and can assure you that bigotry is not confined to GOM nor is it most prominent there. In fact, in that area of the country the acceptance and tolerance of people with differences is probably much better than most. You need to get out in the world a bit more. Maybe being a ROMulan will do you some good in that regard!! Thanks, OP!

I really hope you can find your smile. Solving problems at work will not bring you reward. Your reward will come from being able to love life, especially when the going gets rough like it is now.

I am glad to hear that most of you like the term. For the one angry bird, all I can say is that people work different shifts, and even live in different time zones than you, and it is very possible to post on this site without being at work.
Of course it won't matter if we are doing this at work. Why not have a little fun with the process??
