Thread regarding Chevron Corp. layoffs

Reorg

I am fortunate enough to be in a closed job for this ESP. I am also looking ahead and understanding that there will be a major Reorg coming in late 16 or 17. Please be mindful of the gossip that is spread this year, could come back and haunt you during round 2.

That is the definition for a Reorg. Eliminate BUs and run them under different organizations.

Reorg is sugarcoating it a bit dearie. Elimination of a few BU's and OPCOs is what is being planned for. Watson said the dividend will be preserved no matter what.

True story, job closed one day, open the next...

Dear OP, there's no real certainty of anything. Chevron is working its way through a storm at the moment and nobody knows how long it will last. Chevron will do what it thinks is needed and suddenly can change its plans if they think it's needed. It's all on the bubble right now.

Better to act now versus living in fear until round 2.
