has anyone heard anything? our whole department had a call last friday and said it was our 30 day notice and everyone would know in 30 days if they still have a job. curious if anyones heard

yep the Denver Directv center had that "meeting" last Firday. Most Team Leaders were given a TWO WEEK notice. They were basically told to find something else within AT&T and apply or go back to the phones. What a shocker that most TLs took the following Monday off. Not sure what will happen to GenTech front line employees but its hitting home with Team Leads and above
The overall cuts that announced in Jan 2015 were about 30% of the Collins organization. I don't know who/what he carried with him from his prior role he was in at the end of 2014, is that where your 85% is coming from?
The same thing occurred last year. From the Collins Org about 85% were surplussed and now the group is being hit again as UVerse and DTV are folded in. Cuts will be across all groups under Lurie. I have heard 30 to 40% will be cut in mid May.
collins (level 6) org is a customer support/operations org and he reports to lurie (level 7). not sure what all lurie has/owns. they are taking mobility and EG (dtv and home solutions) and putting it under 1 umbrella from a customer support/operations perspective at least. that's going to mean redundancies and such there will be impacts. who/what is ultimately cut remains to be seen.

I am in the Collins organization and the impact was management employees from level 1 to level 4. They said mid-May which likely seems to be 5/13 for 60 day notices. It's not just former Directv people in scope.
in response to this. this is exactly what happened. any idea who it could affect? im in the Lurie organization and part of the legacy DIRECTV people. im guessing they are replacing all of us with existing UVERSE and Wireless management
Check your org in web phone and see if there are a bunch of new Indian names. If so, you're being outsourced through attrition. This happened to the Network ATO supply chain buyers in October 2015. Att leadership has really shat the bed. I am praying for the stock to TANK!!!!

Where are you from? I am an oklahoma employee and I have been feeling like a lay off is coming but haven't heard anything.
What department are you in? I've heard of no such meetings.
