Looks like South America shorted us 700 million. On top of everything else that is going on. There have been talks about another 10% cut this next quarter.

That sounds about right under the current market conditions, However, if the BHI doesn't get approved and we have to pay out the 3.5billion, well, that is a major game changer and the actual number coul look more like 5 thousand employees in the U.S. And maybe 10 thousand globally. So, I think that Halliburton is at a hinging point of a major downward spiral...... I wouldn't be surprised if we are sold off to another financial corporation.

There are 50,000 Halliburton employees +- a couple thousand. The numbers change weekly, all depends on how many layoffs occur each week. By December 31st 2016, total head count is predicted to be between 23,000 to 30,000 total global employees. Not sure how many will be here in the U.S., but my guesstimating is that we will have somewhere around 10,000 to 15,000, here in the U.S. And the rest will be in foreign countries. Thanks a lot Dave Lesar, Jeff Miller, Lawrence Pope and the rest of you stinking corporate executive team. We trusted you with the keys and you are driving us into the same damn ditch that Obama drove, our country in!!!!!!!!!!! You stinking SOB's!!!!!!!!!

and this is exactly my point and concern. If they are inflating the head count, first, WHY? And secondly who knows exactly how many employees do we currently have? I was in a meeting last week and I heard 3 differant numbers, 82k, 80k and approximately 70 to 75k... We were all in amazement that these high level managers were unable to provide any consistent information. But we came to a common consesus that Halliburton currently has approximately 50k employees globally, even though, several others believe this number is much lower? Why are they inflating the head count numbers and why can't we get a direct answer. These people are just like the politicians in Washington!!!!!! Either way, I think that we are doomed to fail and it seems that there are certain factions that are trying to run this ship aground!!!!!!

Who knows 3 articles from June 2014 say that we had 115,000, 100,000, and 90,000. The company website shows us at 55,000 now minus the 6000 they supposedly just let go. All of this was from a 70% reduction in production and they think that it will drop another 50% this year. Around the first of the year we will be around 30,000 if not lower.

well, there won't be too many rivers to cross if most of the layoffs are here in the U.S..... I agree, I would like to see some facts as to where all the head counts are currently, and since 2014, are we laying off employees over seas? I don't think that is too much to ask for? Unless Halliburton is hiding something. I don't recall ever seeing such data. Dave is real quick to send out stuff about PPR's and all the other goofy stuff, let's see some personnel data Dave!!!!! All of the big oil field suppliers inflate their numbers, so I agree, and these bogus numbers will definitely affect the layoff process

if those numbers are true, they will have to layoff outside the U.S...... I find it hard to believe that we even have 20 Thousand employees in the U.S.. I know that we have a lot of sites here in the U.S., but I just think that the numbers are inflated. As for the employees in other countries, I am sure that there are way to many and operating inefficiently as we are here. According to management, we have already layed off 20 thousand since 2014. I would like to know where the majority of these layoffs occurred. Where they domestic or abroad????? Where are the majority of our employees located, are they here in the U.S., or around the world?? What are the head counts counts per country? does anyone know?

All oilfield companies will continue to lay off staff as revenues continue to drop and no change is seen on the horizon. What would you do if your salary was continuing to be reduced over a two-year period - continue spending like always? Of course not, use your head.
