Tami Erwin, Verizon FIOS President, has admitted already to the media that "We are falling behind" and has said that NONE of the 30,000-35,000 installations Verizon does a week will be done in the next TWO weeks!!!! That's up to 70.000 Verizon customers, that WONT be paying customers. Ad that to all the customers that are fleeing due to out of service issues. The money Lowell is spending on hotel rooms, and car rentals for this failure is costing a fortune. Noe Include all the bad press Verizon is getting in the Presidential primaries, Each candidate denouncing Verizon and Lowell McAdam. The entire country is now watching, and rooting against this corporate greed. How much more can Verizon take of this? LOWELL, SWALLOW YOUR PRIDE. OR CONTINUE TO SHOW US JUST HOW STUPID YOU REALLY ARE. Anyone that post's on here anything different about the work getting done is LYING!!! I am witnessing myself. The Union is not asking for anything, just to maintain what they have already in this company that is making a Billion dollars profit a month, with a CEO that gives himself raises to the tune of 18% per year. New employees getting 401k only. Cost sharing on health benefits; mgt flexibility to move workers. Sorry, you may be asked to make sacrifices to keep your job. American workers have to deal with this all over the Country and so does this dinosaur work force. VZ doesn't really want this business anyway, is that not clear? They are not going to be so generous to accommodate. I think the Union is taking a very big gamble with the workers, given these circumstances. Hope it works out. If not,I will keep pressing ahead with the EWA.

Yes I agree.. Talked to many customers in DC area who are fed up. Many have fios.... Out of the 10 people I talked to 8 backed the union. There are zero business troubles being fixed, at least in the DC area..
From an EWA perspective, it does not really matter if the installs/repairs fall behind. We are just trying to assist in every possible way to cover for irresponsible workers who left this mess to us to deal with. It's a hardship to the family, but we are doing our best and getting well paid for the Union's egregious demands. It makes little difference to me when, what or how they settle. If they come back fine, if they don't come back ever, I am fine, as it was each members personal choices to strike and risk their employment.
IBEW827 provides info on their website on how to sign up for Obama Care. They have no fund to help us with medical. This sucks....
As one of those doing your work, I can tell you that you are wrong. It took almost no time to get up to speed the only complaints I'm hearing are customers complaining about the union wanting more than they are worth.

Doesn't matter if anything is getting done or not. No one tells higher management the truth at Verizon. The guys at the top only see the bottom line and that's only going up as their biggest expense is out walking the line. Sure they'll see it in a couple of months. But by then the permanent replacements will be there and the CWA will be gone for good.
