My questions to you is can we compete with Amazon? They are a Online retail Giant and in comparison we are this small company with old strategies. I understand that staying positive and keeping us engaged is important but you cant blame us for seeing the writing on the wall.

we're left with endless hours to ponder your responsibilities. You aren't a next man up leader. In fact you're not a leader. You told management that you could deliver the results they were looking for. You may not have been qualified to make such promises, or you didn't know how badly the owners have screwed the pooch. If you believe your responsibilities ends with the owners, that's one of the reasons this company is failing. The employees are who do the work that drives the results. Even you had a great plan, without skilled people putting the plan into motion, nothing happens. The customer has to have a reason to shop with us. It's an emotional choice and an economic choice. They may be able to buy books cheaper online, but the if the bookstore always has something interesting going on, it's worth it to shop at the bookstore. Without the customer we have no business.
I must be torture for you to believe you such huge responsibility with such dire consequence when you don't have the capability to accomplish a thing.
The ADC has so many people in jobs they got based on who they know not what they do . Its a sad joke of a misery caused by a few that are in charge .

Has it ever occurred to you that I have agreed to look after Follett. Does it MATTER TO YOU AT ALL that the OWNERS have placed their COMPLETE CONFIDENCE and TRUST in me, and that I have signed a letter of agreement, a CONTRACT, in which I have accepted that RESPONSIBILITY? Do you have the SLIGHTEST IDEA, what a MORAL AND ETHICAL PRINCIPLE IS, DO YOU? Has it ever occurred to you what would happen to my future, if I were to fail to live up to my responsibilities? Has it ever occurred to you? HAS IT?
The writing on the wall is that the company will shortly be out of business.
