Here is the problem, wireless people do not understand that union people are employees and their lives are impacted by potential layoffs. That is what their contract and fight is about. Maybe if you stop looking in the mirror and thinking "me, me, me", maybe you'd see beyond the stupidity of creating a separate board because you do not want to hear it. That is why you all face being laid off, selfish behavior. Stop thinking of just yourself and realize that union members are hard working employees and have families too. Their fight is with corporate and not the rest of us. So get over yourself as verizon wireless is a part of verizon and just because for the first time you faced rifs you would like to pretend that you are the only ones who have faced this. The party has ended with you not needing to compete with other carriers, game has changed, so deal with it and move on. None of you needed to sell the product, it sold itself. All of you had cushy jobs and looked down your noses at wireline. While you are busy looking down your nose, landline folks actually have sympathy for you. Do not get mad that the landline side has a union and wants to fight for their rights. You all sound like a bunch of spoiled brats. Just do not be surprised by the next rif because landline management and union are fully aware of it. We have been dealing with this for years. The answer is never to continue to cut people, how about streamlining the wasteful spending we see everywhere? Treating each other and customers with respect. The union members are always facing suspensions and ill treatment by some unbalance individual and everyone looks the other way. Give them the platform too and allow them to vent. That is why all of you are now facing rifs, it is all about the me game.
