I know in my college my manager is doing all the things you have mentioned. She always laughs because she tells me she has to do this and go through the motions even though her bosses don't review any of the crap we talk about. We are a tiny college with w handful of managers and my boss laughs at how dumb her VP and Director are.

Article in Phx Biz Journal with Tim's smiley face. Why would you post smiley face with article on layoffs?

Smooth move.

Lately, it has been very obvious to me that they are trying to find reasons to fire Enrollment Advisor's. In one on ones they are pulling calls that weren't very good and documenting everything negative not positive in roc's. Has any other Enrollment Advisor's experiencing this same scenario? Have you heard any rumor's that Enrollment Manager's were told to do this? Especially towards senior EA's ? Share your thoughts?

Less people to manage, less need for managers or directors. Also have to get employees that make the most money to cut the numbers and re-hire people at lower salaries. Need to settle all the EEOC complaints to keep complaints from going to lawsuits...lawsuits become public record. Severance agreements limit options on talking about UOP and getting monetary compensation for EEOC complaints, read the agreements, know what a non-compete agreement is, know the tax issues of severance amounts (the full amount listed on the severance agreement is taxed harshly) so don't count on that full amount listed as cash in the bank. Start using your ACCRUED, earned vacation, just because you have 4 weeks of vacation doesn't mean you have earned it or will get it paid out to you when you take a voluntary or are terminated. Look into moving 401k funds, it can take them a LONG time to release your monies....your 401k monies in a sinking ship (?) think it through. think about health insurance coverage (COBRA or OBAMAcare)...It's hard to think quickly and clearly when you are traumatized by losing you job and they are asking you to sign an agreement (Now). I think you have time to review and sign these agreements, but there is a deadline. Ask them if you have time to think over signing the agreement? You may not have to sign right then and there? Check with attorney on these matters before you are on the hot seat. Will they give you job service assistance and what does that mean? Will you get unemployment? Will UOP approve your unemployment claim? Will they help you find another job through job service they provide or just give you resume and cover letter service? Think about these things before things get emotional. Don't wish this on anyone, but they are looking out for their interests, look out for yours by researching all the stuff ahead of time.

Pressure will be on the people left behind to handle larger work loads efficiently (with no mistakes) and if they are looking to terminate those that don't volunteer they will be working to find those they want to terminate (low performance) (unless they already have a list) and they don't have a 'policy' they follow on this...different managers, different policies. Not all employees are treated by same standards by all managers. FTC investigation still not done within in a constantly changing environment, computer systems mutating. Vocado will not replace Advisors. So many processes need fixing. Good luck to all...sad to have to work under such circumstances or to have to make such life changing decisions under stress.

Should make the shareholders (and Apollo Global Management, the future owner) happy.

Why would any directors be laid off?

They are all so valuable and hard working.

Managers and directors will never be touched. Why would they? They are the ones who fire the peons. Until Department of Education has the place shut down, these people will remain.
